Hey, I’m Joseph

I’m a full-stack web application designer and developer with 9+ years of experience building clean, scalable, and genuinely useful digital products. I care about design that feels good to use and code that actually holds up under pressure.

I’m mostly self-taught — which means I’m naturally curious and very teachable. Whether it’s mastering a new framework, picking up another instrument, changing my own brake pads, or diving into philosophy and poetry, I’m wired to figure things out and do them well. (A few years in the Marines didn’t hurt that discipline either.)

From leading UI/UX builds and architecting data hubs to developing React apps and backend systems, I love solving real problems with thoughtful design and solid engineering.

9 Years of Building Real-World Systems

Over the past 9 years, I’ve worked as a full-stack developer building systems that solve real operational problems — not just surface-level interfaces.

For a claims company, I developed internal tools including a mapping system for adjusters and a claims portal used by HR representatives — focused on usability, performance, and reliability in high-pressure workflows.

I’ve also built scheduling and tracking platforms for a youth sports organization, designed and styled large-scale interfaces for a logistics company, and led modern UI/UX transformations for a SaaS platform built on legacy IBM i frameworks — bringing older systems up to modern standards without sacrificing stability.

Alongside that, I’ve worked as a freelance developer and designer, creating websites and digital experiences for a wide range of businesses — blending clean design with practical, scalable development.
